ACT stands for Activating
Congregations for Transformation
and it is a Grace Presbytery continuing
education event that has been a mainstay and
part of the fabric of this presbytery's life for
almost 30 years.

ACT 2009 OVERVIEW
ACT 2009 is waiting for you! This year’s event
is to take place at Canyon Creek Presbyterian
Church on September 26. We will welcome Rev. Dr.
Laura Mendenhall as our preacher and worship
leader.
There is a place for everyone at this event with
workshops and resources to equip churches,
educators, church officers, laity, and youth for
service in their church, community, and beyond.
Take a moment to browse though the course
brochure or look online.
ACT provides courses dealing
with a wide range of topics including teacher
training, church officer training, faith
development, Bible study and tough issues facing
our local congregations. ACT is not just for
church schoolteachers. You’re sure to find many
courses of interest to you.
Workshops on teaching,
spiritual development, mission, and theology are
just a few of the things ACT 2009 has to offer.
Additionally, as in previous years we are
slating two workshops specifically for Officer
Training. Look for the Officer Training Track
designation in the course title.
A special offering this year is a parallel
program for church choirs and choir directors.
Take a moment to look over the Church Music
Institute seminar page in this brochure and
encourage your choir folks to attend.
Calendars fill up fast so make your plans to
attend now. Registration is easy! Fill out the
forms inside the brochure and drop it in the
mail or click here to register online! And don’t
forget that fantastic childcare and an awesome
Grace Kids program for 1st-6th grade is
available so bring the whole family!

ACT 2009 REGISTRATION: Registration Fees
(No Refunds after September 18)
$30.00 per person paid by September 18
$40.00 per person after September 18 and on-site
Meal Costs:
$7.00 Saturday Lunch
$5.00 Saturday Children’s Meal
Meal ticket
purchases are optional but must be made prior to
the event.
Meal tickets must be purchased via the
registration form.
A list of local restaurants will be available at
the registration area.
GRACE KIDS Program:
$15.00 Grace Kids (Grades 1-6; Saturday)
GRACE KIDS is a fun and enriching program for
children in grades 1 - 6 and is an all-day
Saturday event.
Children’s meals for Saturday is available for
purchase

Friday, September 18, 2009!
Child Care:
$15.00 Childcare (Kindergarten or younger;
Friday and/or Saturday)
$45.00 Maximum per family
Infants & preschool-age children through
Kindergarten.
Children’s meals for Saturday is available for
purchase.
You may provide "ready to eat" food from home
for your child.
Return Childcare registration forms by Friday,
September 18.
Things To Remember When Registering:
The Registrar must have names and
addresses for each registrant.
No phone registrations will be accepted.
Adult registrations are transferable within
congregations.
Please notify the Registrar of cancellations
immediately.
Please make Checks Payable To: Grace Presbytery
(Please write ACT 2009 on the envelope).
