ACT stands for Activating Congregations for Transformation and it is a Grace Presbytery continuing education event that has been a mainstay and part of the fabric of this presbytery's life for almost 30 years.

A STORY RUNS THROUGH IT - the biblical story...our life story...a story of faith is the theme of this year's event. ACT 2008 will be held at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Texas on September 19 & 20, 2008.

What can you expect when you attend ACT?

A Friday afternoon seminar for preachers and Bible teachers on Preaching and Teaching from the Biblical Narrative led by our keynote speaker Dr. John Holbert of Perkins School of Theology.

A Friday Night Faith on Tap event that includes a fun dinner and an exploration of faith through the music of such great musical story tellers as The Beatles with maybe a little Springsteen thrown in.

Workshops all day on Saturday, plus a meaningful worship experience, keynote address and a great bookstore.

Saturday evening is for youth Getting Funky in the Holler is a fun filled, enriching youth experience that is inexpensive, great opportunity to worship, energize, and hear how the story of faith is part of every young person's story.

We haven't forgotten the children! GRACE KIDS is an enrichment program that lasts all day on Saturday and touches on the themes of our event at a child's level. It is for children in first through sixth grade. Child care is available for fie year olds and under.
